Crisis communications or reputation management is one of the most important and highly visible areas in the entire public relations profession. The lack of crisis communications skills can inflict great damage on a company of any size. e,g. Arthur Andersen, Tylenol, Union Carbide, FEMA.

How has reputation management changed with the development of blogs?

The blogosphere adds speed, complexity and size to reputation and crisis management. Don’t underestimate the ability of a blogger to turn your world upside down. Expect it, plan for it, and plan your response. Online Reputation Management should be a key focus for all orgnanizations unfortunately, in the PR world it is still over looked.

The blogosphere’s record is permanent, its half-life is far longer, and big mistakes are punished more quickly and ruthlessly. The existence of some 17 million blogs today has made the blogosphere the world’s largest and most influential form of interactive media.

Small, unknown blogs can link or syndicate to larger, more influential blogs, which in turn can rapidly supply researched story leads to the 24-hour, traditional media. Those stories, once legitimized by the mainstream press, are then spun back out into the blogosphere, where tens of thousands of bloggers rebroadcast mainstream news with their own comments, which then begets more comments and perhaps more revelations, and the cycle begins again.

The Internet has made a permanent record of all media since the mid-90s. The Blogosphere now makes a permanent and highly searchable vehicle for all commentary since roughly 2003. Research it, respond to it, and take proactive charge of your reputation. Don’t let others write the history books without sizeable input from those who lived it.

Knowledge of the tools is as important as knowledge of the players. It is imperative that PR practitioners, as well as any company spokesperson empowered to communicate in a crisis, is knowledgeable about the blog technology.

In the permanent record department, one must keep track of an ever-changing toolset of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods, blog syndication resources and other tools designed to bring the best and most timely information in front of the most well-informed reader.

The Escrow Account

The arrangement that is set up by a third part wherein goods or money is deposited into and account until a contract is fulfilled legally is called an escrow account. This a service that is provided in order to put financial assets into the hands of a neutral middleman, to keep it in a type of guaranteed savings account, a contract between a seller and a buyer, or the county and a homeowner in the case of property taxes or insurance.

The funds from this account will be used to make payments, or rather will be there for use should the owners not have the financial means to make those payments at any given point. In most cities and towns, including the Texas town of Denton, foreclosure have created the need for these escrow accounts, and are sometimes a necessary requirement for first time home buyers, and this market, many home buyers.

These accounts first gained popularity when homeowners were ill prepared for the property tax time, and ended up losing their homes to foreclosures when after paying the large sums for property taxes, they could not make their mortgage payments. This is much like a force account for savings. The escrow holds the money, until the due date for these payments. Hundreds of dollars are added to one’s mortgage payment each month, and this money goes into the escrow account. The extra money does not apply towards the principle mortgage or to interest payments.

This money that has been set aside is then used to bay the insurance bill or the property taxes which occur twice per year. One of the advantages to this is that the money is there to pay these bills when it is necessary. As for most people it is easier to come up with a few hundred dollars each month, rather than the large sums necessary required at one time. This is similar to a forced budget and is a good option for those who may have trouble doing that on their own.

Money laundering is indicative of past and future criminal activity, as well as being a crime in and of itself in the present tense. This is a set of policies and procedures that are designed to maintain the validity and accuracy of an institutions records of the transactions that take place.

Not only is this intended to ensure that the banks are not involved in the corruption, but serves to protect those who are not involved. If accurate records are kept it is easy to defend one’s innocence if it is called into question. The accuracy of a financial institutions records is of utmost importance, as the records are always admitted into the evidence of cases involving money laundering and financial corruption.

Trying To Determine The Best Tonneau Cover

Buying a tonneau cover for my truck has been a process, to say the least. There are plenty of great products to choose from, which is why I’m having so much trouble determining which one I should invest in. I have a GMC truck, so I know I’ve got more than a few options in covers to choose from, which really is a good thing. The options I am thinking about include the Torza Sure Fit Snap Tonneau Covers, which offer a great look and function to them. It would also be a wise investment to choose the Lund Genesis Hinged Tonneau Covers. These are a fantastic way to get in and out quickly, without having to worry about the overall ability to do so.

In addition to these covers, I have also invested in a truck bed liner to use in my truck for protection and long-term function from the truck’s bed. I am also trying to find the right truck tool boxes that will give me the necessary room I need without actually holding me back in terms of having a cover for the truck. The process of choosing the right makes and models isn’t hard, and it is fun. After all, I may have to pick up a few extra accessories along the way.

I love Shakespeare. His plays and poems changed the world in many ways. No one is quoted more than Will and no playwright has ever had more movies and adaptations made about his work. And I love going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival every year.

Some very important people go there like Arthur Trueger. He loves the festival also. I think that he loves a lot of the arts, even ballet.
