Striving for a Golf Career

There are many who dream of teaching golf but it takes more than just passion and a love of the game to get hired on with a legitimate employer. With the popularity of the sport, there is no doubt that there is a need for golf instruction in a number of venues. High schools, colleges, golf courses, golf resorts, camps and many others all need instructors who can effectively coach and train others. Learning how to set up a curriculum and how to focus on areas where a student needs help are important skills to have. An individual who takes the time to learn these things will find themselves with quite a successful golf career.

Attaining a degree in golf instruction requires one to take on a fully accredited program. An accredited program means graduates will have credentials that are recognized by employers as genuine. More often than not, an associate’s degree can help an individual get his or her foot in the door; however, many employers especially favor those with bachelor’s degree. A degree for coaching golf can be obtained in a relatively short amount of time. This can help one get on the fast track to a most coveted career.

French Open Tennis Coverage Heats Things Up

The world’s favorite Belgium tennis player is preparing for the 2008 French Open. The French Open tennis coverage for her has been full of excitement because Justine Henin-Hardenne has won the last 3 years in a row.

She loves to play of the clay court and show off her skills. She lost in 2002 to Serena Williams and Justine does not plan on losing again.

The men’s singles is also quite exciting as the rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer heats things up. Rafael, like Justine, has won for 3 consecutive years also.

The clay court slows the ball down and it is too difficult for some of the world’s best tennis players to win on. Henin-Hardenne and Nadal are not planning on losing again.

French Open Schedule Builds Anticipation

The Roland Garros is upon us again and I cannot wait to see the French Open schedule. I fully expect to see Nadal and Henin again but I doubt Federer will play for the men’s singles championship again.

If Justin Henin-Hardenne wins again, this will be her 4th consecutive win and she will set a new record.

Nadal will be defending his title for the 4th straight time also. He is the King of Clay but I do not think the King of Grass, Federer will be in this year. He has lost his edge.

But, no matter who ends up in the French Open schedule, it is sure to be an interesting tournament.

French Open Highlights

I love watching the French Open tennis tournament in the spring and early summer. It seems to really start the hot time of year off nicely for me. I sometimes miss big games since I have to work but I always catch the French Open highlights when I get home.

That way if I miss the women’s singles then I can at least see the important parts of the set. I also like to watch the players in slow motion because I can watch for their techniques and try to copycat them in my own game.
