Early this morning I rushed out the door to go to work, I’m late, naturally. But, I didn’t care, I was feeling happy and amazingly alive. It’s all due to the lingering effects of last nights concert. What was even better, was when I got into my car, as I turned on the ignition, the CD was playing a songs from Coldplay, ones that I heard last night. So, my entire time driving to work was barely noticeable. I cranked up the bass and blasted through traffic bottlenecks and snarls oblivious and reminiscing about last night.
I’m so glad my girlfriend recommend we check out what was the going Summertime Concert Tickets and found Coldplay was coming into town. I just love Coldplay and how I can easily sing-a-long to every one of their songs. I remember sitting by myself at the concert, my friend, my boyfriend and I couldn’t get seats next to each other, but we decided it was worth it to go even though we had to sit away from each other. It was the best decision we ever made. Although, it would have been really great to live each moment of the concert over again with my friend and boyfriend, but all the same, just being at the concert was an experience worth the experience of just me. See, luckily, the two girls sitting next to me were just as bent on having the time of their lives as I was, so we bonded immediately when we screamed, clapped and sang at everything. Then later, we realized some unbelievable luck.
About three seats away there were some covered reserved seats with what looked like audio gear and some other very techie stuff. Then about 10 minutes later we noticed a lot of commotion going on at those seats, and we couldn’t believe our eyes! We started screaming like little girls. We saw a platform appeared and then a guitar stood on top of it and then a bass and then a microphone! There were going to play right in front of us! Our hearts jumped right into our throats. Then the band stopped playing on the main stage and walked to the edge of the stage and proceeded to walk right toward us and got on the new platform created just three seats away! We all got to reach out and actually touch Chris Martins hands. Wow! I mean, Wow! And they began to sing Green Eyes.
I don’t know how long it took me to realize that I was in the parking lot at work just sitting in my car, but I finally did become aware of reality and that I was even more late to work than ever. But, I didn’t care, cause all that will be on my mind today is how Chris Martin and I hooked eye to eye for what seemed like an eternity.
